I applied to a convenient but different company location.

So I worked for like 4 years at this company and I quit to get a contract job then applied to come back once the contract ended but it was at a smaller location and wow how terrible lol. The pay was $13 and they didn’t want to pay more than that and then the role is supposed to be part time but she said to me “you have to have open availability to get the role and it says here you can only work 4 days a week” isn’t 4 days a week part time???? I reduced my work week from 6 to 5 days.

I told my dad I was reducing my work week to avoid burnout, and he reacted as if I was lazy. His disapproval made me feel defeated, even though my employer supported the change for my well-being.

We Value All Our Employees (except one)

My very large company claimed they value all their employees. The structure at my work site is Big Boss, Manager, 2 assistant managers (of which I am one) then direct reports. About once a quarter big boss arranged a catered lunch for us. Almost always on the regular day I have off. It’s a crappy lunch (think Subway platter level) so whatever. People get away with having the worst communication skills

I work a pseudo-corporate job, still at the bottom of the hierarchy after 3yrs, definitely a department work horse. I’m so tired of middle managers and higher ups (and even lateral coworkers) speaking to me as if I’m bottom feeder scum that doesn’t know anything. I do literally everything, I am a team of one.
