Lookback: 2 years since job loss

laid off from remote job after 2 years, struggling to find new work

I was laid off from a job I loved, with no warning, and have struggled to find new work ever since. I've applied to over 100 jobs and only gotten 5 interviews and 2 offers, which didn't work out.

What I wish I knew
"I wish I had saved more money and had a more stable financial safety net before losing my job."
If I could tell you one thing
"Don't underestimate the importance of having a financial safety net and a stable job, and be prepared for the unexpected."

Clear regret.
The downsides outweighed what was gained.
