Considering a career change to become a commercial pilot

I'm 20 years old and currently studying Computer Science, but I'm finding it difficult to land jobs in the field despite having experience and personal projects. I've been considering a career change to become a commercial pilot, something I previously thought was impossible for me due to my Deuteranomaly Color Blindness. I've done some research and found that it threats may not be as severe as I thought, and I plan to consult with an aviation medical examiner to determine if I can pass the required vision tests.

What I wish I knew
"I wish I had known more about the potential options for pilots with color blindness and the specific requirements for commercial airline pilots."
If I could tell you one thing
"You might be surprised by the options available to you, even with a condition like color blindness. Don't be afraid to start exploring alternative careers and seek out advice from professionals in the field."
