Asked for a virtual interview instead of in-person

I have an in-person interview offer, but my current job prevents me from attending during lunch. I need to ask the company if they can accommodate a virtual meeting instead. I'm concerned that they might view this as a lack of enthusiasm or commitment. I've heard of companies being flexible with interview arrangements, but I'm not sure if this one will be. I'm going to reach out to them and see what they say.

What I wish I knew
"I wish I had known the company's policy on virtual interviews beforehand so I could have planned accordingly."
If I could tell you one thing
"Don't assume that companies won't accommodate virtual interviews, but also be prepared to explain your situation and show enthusiasm for the role."
