“I accepted a new director position I didn't want.”

Hi. I’m at a lost.

Last year my site of my company merged with another site - which led to a lot of people moving around. Especially leadership positions as they wanted 1 director (shared leadership) instead of two in many departments. I am also a director and felt like this was coming so I tried to apply to almost 50 positions in the corporation. But I got nothing. I also tried to apply to outside positions as well but was not able to secure a position.
